Care Center Manager

Empath Health is currently seeking a Care Center Manager to join our Hospice of Marion County team. The Care Center Manager is an integral component of the leadership team at Suncoast Hospice.  The Care Center Manager assumes responsibility for conveying the Mission/Vision to the community served by Empath Health. The Care Center Manager has the primary responsibility and authority for maintaining quality of patient care in accordance with the organization’s objectives and policies through planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the services provided to patients and families. This position is responsible for the 24/7 oversight of patient and family services in the Care Center.  Appropriate staffing is monitored for skill sets, competencies, and number of staff caring for patients.  Quality measures are monitored for patient/family satisfaction as well as safety.  Fiscal oversight and strategic planning are integral to this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensures team decision making and care reflects knowledge of and compliance with agency policies & procedures and governing regulatory bodies.

    Position Requirements

    • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters degree in one of the core disciplines of Hospice preferred.
    • Licensure: Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
    • Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
    • Two years Hospice experience. Management experience preferred.
    • Employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
    • Seven to ten total years experience in related discipline.
    • Must successfully complete critical thinking skills assessment
