Revenue Cycle Compliance Analyst

The Revenue Cycle Compliance Analyst supports the Hospice RCM team by auditing and ensuring compliance throughout all revenue cycle processes.  This role is responsible for identifying areas of improvement, by auditing for billing with regulations and policies, and recommending solutions to optimize revenue while maintaining strict adherence to federal, state and industry standards. Perform hospice revenue cycle key performance indicators (KPI) to track financial health and operational efficiency.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotes and practices the Empath mission and values and follows all policies and procedures of Empath Health.
• Data analysis & reporting by analyzing data sets to uncover compliance risks across the revenue cycle (billing, collections) translating findings into actionable insights for decision-making and process improvement
• Regulatory compliance by staying updated on healthcare regulations, particularly those related to Medicare, assesses their impact on the organization, and translates complex information into clear summaries to the RCM team
• Providing training and education to revenue cycle staff and process improvements, best practices, and regulatory changes,
• Collaboration with the various team leaders (billing, coding, payment posting, IT, compliance) to ensure optimal revenue cycle performance and integration across functions.
• Develop and track KPI’s to measure the effectiveness of revenue cycle initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, or related field, preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, financial analysis within a healthcare setting, with experience in a hospice setting being particularly valuable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft MS 365 (Specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with software such as Allscripts, Netsmart, Homecare Home Base. ECQ, tableau, and financial reporting dashboards.
