Massage Therapist

- Education and Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 2-4 years of paid experience in massage therapy, preferably in a medical setting.
- Licensure: Valid Florida Massage Therapist License and Florida State Driver’s License.
- Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation for field-based positions; proof of valid automobile insurance required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IDT to identify patient/family needs for massage therapy.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs to initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain clinical records, including progress notes and care plans.
- Communicate significant patient/family issues with IDT members promptly.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and educational programs.
- Educate staff and the community about the role of massage therapy in patient care.
- Teach caregivers techniques to provide comfort to patients.
- Assist in developing and evaluating massage therapy services.
