At Empath Home Health, our Physical Therapist provides compassionate care for patients as required for diagnoses, age, and treatment. Here the Physical Therapist plans, organizes, directs, and monitors patient care and mentors staff and students’ clinical education while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides.

As a Physical Therapist with Empath Health you must be patient/family focused, loyal, motivated and interested in serving your community.

Other requirements of this role include:

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure: Licensed in the State of Florida, and meets one of the following requirements:
o Graduated after successful completion of a physical therapist education program approved by one of the following:
 The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
 Successor organizations of CAPTE.
o An education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or an organization identified in 8 CFR 212.15(e) as it relates to physical therapists.
o Passed an examination for physical therapists approved by the state of Florida.
• Continuing education: 24 CEU’s within the 2 year licensing period including medical errors.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination (as necessary) with “Capable” result required.

Applicants provisionally accepted for employment will be required to undergo a fitness for duty evaluation. The individual will be required to simulate the tasks that they would normally be expected to perform in their role.
