Manager of Talent Optimization
Apply Job ID MANAG010026 Date posted 01/29/2025 Position Type Full-TimeThe Manager of Talent Optimization is responsible for designing and executing talent management strategies that align with organizational priorities, focusing on workforce planning, succession management, career pathing, employee engagement, and driving performance through modernized systems. This role ensures the organization maximizes its talent potential by implementing systems and processes that foster alignment, accountability, and growth across all levels of the organization.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute talent optimization strategies, succession management, and career pathing.
- Partner across Organizational Development & Learning to align talent initiatives with organizational needs and strategic priorities.
- Oversee the organization’s performance appraisal and goal-setting systems to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Modernize and manage these systems to drive organizational performance, foster real-time feedback, and promote meaningful goal-setting.
- Partner with leadership to leverage appraisals and goals as tools for enhancing accountability, engagement, and individual and team success.
- Enhance employee engagement and retention through initiatives informed by tools such as surveys, action planning, and workforce data.
- Analyze engagement data to identify trends and gaps, creating strategies to strengthen organizational culture.
- Design and oversee succession planning frameworks to ensure a robust pipeline of high-potential colleagues across all levels.
- Use workforce data and predictive analytics to inform talent strategies and decision-making.
- Track and measure the success of talent optimization initiatives, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to ensure programs remain competitive and effective in driving organizational success.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of talent strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and expertise to leaders and stakeholders on succession planning, workforce optimization, and performance management.
- Communicate talent optimization strategies and updates across all levels of the organization to ensure clarity and engagement.
- Support the mission, vision and values of Empath Health.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or workforce planning. Experience working in a leadership role preferred.
- An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements.

- Innovative and creative thinker with a focus on delivering results.
- Ability to navigate matrixed team environments to achieve buy-in from all parties and drive alignment.

- Ability to work professionally with sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in talent management systems and workforce analytics tools.
- Familiarity with performance management platforms and predictive analytics.
- Intermediate or Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment with occasional travel to organizational locations.
- May require extended hours during program launches or critical initiatives.
- Employee must sign a Business Protection Agreement.
