Human Resources Specialist - Compliance

Empath Health is currently seeking an Human Resources Specialist - Compliance to join our team.

This position provides high level administrative support to the HR Compliance and Operations Manager with a focus on HR Compliance. It also provides administrative support to the Human Resources department to assist with the daily functioning of those teams. Knowledge of HR compliance regulations and related HRIS systems usage.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry and maintenance of all required compliance related items within the HCM.
    • Ensures all newly onboarded colleagues have all required documents and related entries in UKG Compliance. Acts as quality control auditor for compliance items from onboarding and makes corrections as required.
    • Provides timely notification to both the colleague and their leader of upcoming compliance requirements and expirations.
    • Takes appropriate action when a critical requirement is out of compliance.
    • Keeps HR Leadership informed of any and all issues of concern.
    • Ensures all compliance related items are appropriately stored in UKG Document Manager.
  • Manages AHCA roster for accuracy and coordinates AHCA renewals in a timely manner.
    Creates reports as needed by management.
  • Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Acts as backup for colleague inquiries and employment verifications.
  • Effectively plans, organizes, and coordinates administrative support functions.
  • Provides administrative support for the Human Resources team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Prior experience in human resources, specifically in areas involving compliance regulations and use of HRIS software preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office software preferred.
  • Flexibility, ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Professionalism, respect for confidentiality and ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Support and identify with the organization’s philosophy and objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in stressful situations at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with all departments in a professional and cheerful manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service.
