Empathway Access Manager

The Empathway Access Manager:

  • Aligns access team activities with organizational mission, vision, goals and strategies
  • Facilitate access to the services/programs within Empath Health that best meet the patient/family’s needs through concerned and compassionate listening skills as well as follow-through with physicians/facilities for orders.
  • Manages the access team’s budget along with assumes responsibility for actively contributing in process improvement efforts.
  • Ensures access team decision making and care reflects knowledge of and compliance with agency policies & procedures and governing regulatory bodies
  • Defines a clear role and direction for my access team consistent with the organization’s mission, vision strategies and direction
  • Effectively manages, supervises, trains, leads and coaches an effective and accountable work team by practicing leadership behavior that articulates an excellent role model, and by participating in task forces, quality initiatives and agency work groups.
  • Leads change management assuring staff/access team knowledge, participation and successful implementation
  • Addresses and resolves conflict directly and constructively, focusing on issues rather than people
  • Works to anticipate internal/external customer needs
  • Builds an environment where internal/external customer service excellence is always a priority
  • Seeks and responds to feedback from internal/external customers with a sense of urgency

**This position will include travel to the Lakewood Ranch Tidewell location as well as Marion County**

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association if licensed professional

**Note: this position will travel to Marion County throughout the week**
