Quality Innovation Specialist

The Quality Innovation Specialist:

  • Promotes and practices the Empath Health, vision, mission, and values and follows policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the organization’s overall goal of providing Full Life Care, with focus on enhancing patient and colleague experience
  • Identify and implement new technologies specific to each program/service line, such as but not limited to, patient portals, online scheduling tools, telemedicine platforms, and data analytics to streamline patient access and engagement.
  • Lead clinical representatives for all future technology initiatives. Accountable for establishing best clinical practices in the post-acute space to ensure identification of opportunities to evaluate new technology for fit within the Agency. Action plan around those opportunities to move them to fully leveraged implementation.
  • Assumes the lead clinical responsibility for implementation of HQRP initiatives including use of MUSE software and proficiency in HOPE.
  • Work closely with patient access operations leaders to develop and implement efficient workflows that support high-quality service.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify access gaps, measure performance metrics, and inform decision-making regarding access improvement strategies.
  • Partner with clinical teams, and IT to integrate access initiatives across different programs/services lines, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure patient care initiatives comply with relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and privacy standards.
  • Recommend and implement operational policies, procedures and protocols related to patient care.
  • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 + years in healthcare (preferably hospice care) with a strong focus on patient access.
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare operations, patient care and colleague challenges, and industry trends within the healthcare landscape – preferably hospice care.
  • Experience implementing and leveraging healthcare technology solutions to improve patient experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • RN Licensure- must be licensed in state of Florida.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive change initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and advocate for patient access initiatives.
  • Ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Must have reliable transportation and provide proof of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file. Travel between facilities may be required.
  • Proficient in Healthcare Systems, Microsoft Office Suite and other software.
  • Colleagues must sign a Business Protection Agreement.
