8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Asked to attend occasional evening & weekend events. This position will work in the Manatee County Market.

The liaison is the conduit between Tidewell Hospice and professional healthcare referral sources in a defined territory. The position is responsible for increasing referral and admission volume to meet established admission goals. The successful candidate will have the ability to navigate the healthcare environment and a track record of referral generation and conversion. The liaison also will serve as a speaker in outreach activities to educate healthcare referral sources, community professionals, influencers and consumers about Tidewell services.

Primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

  • Promotes and practices the Hospice mission and core values and follows all policies and procedures of Empath.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities and developing relationships with the professional healthcare referral sources in assigned territory.
  • Responsible for increasing referral and admission volume with professional referral sources to meet established admissions goals.
  • Develops and implements strategic account plans for key accounts within assigned territory.
  • Applies suitable sales techniques in marketing to healthcare referral sources.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation in CRM (salesforce) system, including report generation on territory activities as required.
  • Supports Speaker’s Bureau by serving as a speaker in outreach activities to educate healthcare referral sources, community professionals, influencers and consumers about Empaths’ services.
  • Serves as a conduit of information between Empath and referral sources.
  • Provides recommendations for in-service education topics, techniques to increase referral source satisfaction scores, and service recovery.
  • Collaborates as appropriate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met.

Educational/Professional:

  • Associate's degree highly desired. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum three to five years marketing/sales experience required; medical marketing, hospice experience or other healthcare field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements.
